Series 12 starts Wednesday 4th November 2026!

From whales and dolphins in Donegal Bay, to barn owls nesting in a 19th-century hay barn, and a lab colder than outer space: 10 Things to Know About… is back! Kathriona Devereux, Fergus McAuliffe and Amy Hassett take to the road, seas and skies to meet the researchers, farmers, engineers and volunteers uncovering the science behind everyday life – from the creatures beneath the waves to the complex codes that keep our bank accounts safe.

10 Things to Know About is produced by New Decade TV, with grateful support from Teagasc, SEAI, Geological Survey Ireland, the Heritage Council and RTÉ alongside our educational partners SCOILNET.

“Every series of 10 Things is a real team effort, from our presenters and crew to the researchers and communities who welcome us into their worlds. There’s so much brilliant, positive work happening across Ireland, and we’re thrilled to bring it to viewers’ screens.”
